Why We Don't Offer Drink Packages
We want Sailors focused on the experience not the free drinks in the dreaded wedding and nightclub "crush".
What We're Doing For Sailors
Soda and still & sparkling water is included in our voyage fare; no need for these packages. Our Sailors do not want to be in an atmosphere of unlimited drinking. Sailors won't need to try and calculate how many drinks they need to have per day in order to see "value" in their package, which is often 10+. Virgin isn’t into enforcing rigid rules requiring everyone in a cabin to purchase a package. We will not inflate the pricing of individual drinks to push people into a package.
All of our beverage programs are tailored to individual restaurants and bars, creating personalities within the overall program to bring authenticity to the Sailor experience.
What We're Doing For Sailors
We won't have generic or no-name alcohol brand options. Name-brand alcohol is served by producers on the high end of the segment and engaging boutique selections for unique offerings. The choice stays with the Sailor so they can order what they want when they want it.
At Virgin Voyages, the combination of exceptional quality combined with great value is a must.
What We're Doing For Sailors
Our beverage program will feature the best prices on land and/or at sea, inclusive of gratuity, for the brands offered. We will always offer a single-digit option inclusive of gratuity for bubbles, rose, white, red, house spirits, and/or beer in every outlet. 70% of our wines by the glass are less than $15 versus 59% of the other premium cruise line, 46% of the urban restaurant and 57% of the boutique hotel.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. DO I NEED A PASSPORT?
While our Sailors are free to voyage at will, some global rules for travel still apply. Our voyages require our Sailors to have a valid passport with an expiration date at least 6 months after the voyage end date. Based on your country of citizenship, some ports may also require a necessary visa to travel back into the homeport after the voyage has completed.
Q. DO I HAVE TO BE VACCINATED TO CRUISE?
In keeping in line with the rest of the travel industry, we’re now opening our voyages to everyone and have removed all vaccine and testing requirements beginning 10/30/22 on Valiant Lady and 10/28/22 on Scarlet Lady.
Q. WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO TRAVEL?
Every Virgin Voyages sailing is an experience created exclusively for adults, and the minimum age to book and sail is 18 years old.
Q. CAN I BRING MY OWN ALCOHOL ONBOARD?
As an Adult-by-Design experience, we have an array of carefully selected beer, wine and expert cocktail options shipwide. If you must bring that rare bottle of red you got in the south of France, we get it. Sailors are also welcome to bring two (2) 750mL bottles of wine per cabin in carry-on bags (sorry, no liquor or beer please). Please note, any alcohol in your checked luggage will be collected pre-sailing and returned once your voyage is complete. You are also welcome to bring specialty liquors from a port of call on board. Simply hand them to our security team as you board, and we will hold them until your final night.
Q. WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED FLIGHT ARRIVAL TIME BEFORE MY VOYAGE?
We recommend booking a flight into the local airport (i.e. MIA or BCN) with an arrival time no later than 2pm.
Q. WHAT TIME IS DISEMBARKATION?
We want our Sailors to be able to fully enjoy their final night with us and not feel rushed in the morning. With that, we've extended disembarkation through 10:45am to allow the most flexibility. For those traveling, we recommend booking a flight out of MIA with a departure time after 12pm.

Q. WHAT ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED FROM BEING BROUGHT ON BOARD?
On Virgin Voyages creating a safe and secure environment for our Sailors is our top priority. This is a super-long-but-super-important list of items that are a no-go on every Virgin Voyages vessel. If a sailor is found in possession of such items onboard or during embarkation, The vessel may deny these items from coming onboard, dispose of items or confiscate items until the end of the voyage.
